International Course on Aseismic Design and Construction

CADAC/2002

The 21st Course on Aseismic Design and Construction of Buildings (CADAC/2002) started on 9th September 2002. The Course was officially opened by the Director of IZIIS and the ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Royal Netherlands, the ambassadors of the countries of the participants, lecturers, participants and many guests.



This year, there are 18 participants who come from 16 different countries and study at the two majors of the Course.

The 21-st International Course on Aseismic Design and Construction CADAC/2002 was successfully accomplished at the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology, University "St. Cyril and Methodius", Skopje. The Course lasted 12 weeks and was attended by participants from developing countries. It was realized within the framework of the scientific-technical cooperation between Royal Netherlands and the Government of Republic of Macedonia.
The Course was attended by 18 candidates from developing countries (see the enclosed photo). The analysis of the initial and the final questionnaires filled out by the participants upon their arrival and departure proved successful achievement of the main goal of the Course. The results were satisfying, which was evident particularly after the final test, which was successfully passed by all the participants.
Finally, it should be noted that it is a particular honor and pleasure to organize such an international course which arouses a worldwide interest.
